CNET’s Aloysius Low reports in this article on the TechJect Dragonfly robots- small flying creatures with high resolution cameras. The inventors encourage you to buy one so that you can “spy on people” and film yourself, from without, traveling down a ski slope. TechJect is the fruit of military funding gone commercial, and it will be interesting to see how a successful entrant into the personal flying robot marketplace pushes the boundaries of our shared airspace. When you go hiking or skiing, will you be busy dodging others’ robo-cameras in the sky in addition to out-of-control skiers? Robot smog may just be in the forecast after all.
