Augmented Reality – Project Glass

Google has released a video of the Project Glass future (embedded here). This is particularly interesting for Robot Futures because of how you can start to walk through the social consequences of this sort of technology from the perspective of everyone else- Rosencrantz and Guildenstern style. How will our interactions with physically proximal people evolve as we become ever more occupied with a broader social footprint that extends, thanks to the internet, into many of our senses and many continents around the world?  Take the Project Glass future, add our CEO of Me, Inc. concept from the Attention Dilution Disorder chapter, and you’ve got yourself the technology recipe for adjustable autonomy control from one human to many social presences…
